With Pre-K behind him, Ryan is working on his blue belt in (okinawan shuri-ryu) karate. I should be taking the class, because I am having to learn everything and practice with him. Ryan is also taking swim lessons. He shed his flotation device on the first day and loves jumping off the diving board in the deep end and swimming over to the side. He is going to do well in kindergarten.
David, it’s been years since I’ve visited your site (I believe there was only a single post on your blog at that time) but recall reading that you and Scott had just been through the adoption process and were just acclimating to having your son in the home.
It’s wonderful to check back these days and see how much he’s grown and how much enjoyment you seem to find in being a parent. I am so happy for you.
I spent a short while in the booth talking with you at Beachball during Disney ‘01 and learned that I had worked with your sister when I was a resident at The Metro. The energy from your crowd and the way you fed off it still remains with today as the most impressive performance I’ve ever seen.
Take care and glad to see things are going well for you.
